Does Apex require a plugin on my WordPress site?
No. Apex connects to your store's built-in WooCommerce REST API — the one that ships with WooCommerce 3.5 and later. There is nothing to install, activate, or update on your WordPress side. If you ever uninstall Apex, your store doesn't change.

How are my API credentials stored?
Your consumer key and secret are encrypted at rest using Laravel's AES-256 (CBC + HMAC) encryption with a unique application key. They are decrypted only in-memory at the moment a request is made to your store, then immediately discarded. We never log credentials.

What makes this easier to use than the WooCommerce admin?
WooCommerce's admin is built around WordPress's editing model — every change opens a full page, every save reloads the browser. Apex is built around a table: every value is clickable, every row is selectable, and keyboard shortcuts let you move through your catalog without touching a mouse. The interface is designed around the things store owners actually do every day — not every possible setting WooCommerce has ever shipped.

Why can I not export my store products to a backup file?
In Short - Cause it is via API and it takes bloody long.
Some stores have thousands of products. Exporting that data and generating a file on our servers would be slow and resource expensive. Instead, we integrate with your store's existing CSV export functionality. Just like before, you can export a CSV from your WooCommerce admin, and if you have a Growth or Agency plan, import it back with changes. We also support CSV imports from other tools, so you can use Apex as a hub for managing your product data however you like.

Can I manage multiple WooCommerce stores from one account?
Yes. Growth includes 3 stores; Agency is unlimited. Switch between stores in a couple of clicks.

What happens if I cancel?
Your subscription stays active until the end of your billing period, then your access is paused. Your store data is unaffected — it never left WooCommerce in the first place. We delete your stored credentials within 30 days of cancellation on request.

Can I invite teammates with limited permissions?
Yes. Growth and Agency plans support role-based scopes: Owner, Manager, and Merchandiser. You can also restrict a team member to specific stores. Every action is captured in an audit log on Agency.
