Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains when payments for Apex for WooCommerce, supplied by Design2Code (Pty) Ltd, are refunded. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
1. Try before you pay
Every new account gets a 14-day free trial with no payment card required, so you can connect your store and evaluate Apex before paying anything. Because of this, we do not offer refunds for simply changing your mind after subscribing.
2. Subscription fees are non-refundable
- Plans are billed monthly in advance. Once a billing period has started, its fee is not refunded, in full or in part.
- We do not give pro-rata refunds or credits for cancelling part-way through a month, for moving to a lower plan, or for months in which you did not use the Service.
- Restricting or closing an Account for a material breach of our Terms does not entitle you to a refund.
3. Cancelling
- Cancel at any time from the Billing page in the app. This cancels your recurring PayFast subscription so no further payments are taken.
- You keep full access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. After that, access ends automatically.
- If you cannot cancel in the app, email info@apexstorefront.co.za from your account email address and we will cancel for you. The date of your email counts as your cancellation date.
4. When we do refund
We refund in full:
- Duplicate charges: if you are charged twice for the same period, including overlapping charges for your old and new plan after you switch plans;
- Charges after cancellation: any payment taken after you cancelled;
- Billing errors: any amount charged that is different from the rand amount shown at checkout when you subscribed (or as later adjusted with notice). Movements in exchange rates or your bank's conversion fees are not billing errors;
- Extended outage: at our discretion, where the Service was unavailable for a significant part of a billing period because of a fault on our side.
5. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA). Where the ECTA cooling-off right in section 44 applies to you, it does not apply to services that began, with your consent, before the end of the cooling-off period (section 42). Starting a paid subscription gives you immediate access to the Service.
6. How to request a refund
- Email info@apexstorefront.co.za within 30 days of the charge, from your account email address.
- Include the date and amount of the charge, and your PayFast payment reference if you have it.
- We will reply within 5 business days. Approved refunds are made through PayFast to the original payment method, usually within 10 business days, depending on your bank.
7. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can usually resolve billing problems faster directly. If a chargeback is raised, we may suspend the Account until it is resolved.
